Our beautiful new standard rooms

The relexa hotel Berlin has 87 superior rooms, ten superior or executive suites, 5 junior suites and 106 standard rooms. The standard rooms and junior suites received a complete overhaul during summer 2016.

The journey

The first phase of this extensive renovation work involved the 50 standard rooms in the front part of the building. Before the builders started their work, our relexa employees helped with various tasks such as removing small furniture, TV’s, telephones, blankets, lamps and much more. They sorted all out and stored them away in two hotel meeting rooms. The motivation was unique, as all wanted to watch the quarter finals of the European Championship at home or at public viewing.

Then the work could start with electricians, painters, carpenters, carpet fitters, and so on and so forth. We had some challenges during the renovation work, but all could be solved together. We all did our best and were able to keep the dead line for the agreed completion date of the work.

The result

On 3rd September 2016 we finally completed the renovation work.

Our new standard rooms all received a thorough makeover:

• new flooring in four different styles
• freshly painted walls
• new quality bedding
• new comfortable designer chair for reading, watching television or relaxing
• practical leather stools, which can be stowed under the desk and are space saving
• additional sockets for bed side table and desk

Many rooms also received:

• new white bed panels with discreet LED lighting
• for the desk USB ports and a new white panel
• new cabinets with large mirror

Some rooms received completely new bathrooms with low shower entry for easy and comfortable usage.
