There is no better way to celebrate the beginning of summer

... than with this fantastic street festival in the capital. The first Fête de la Musique was held in Paris in 1982. Since then the musical street festival is celebrated every year on 21st June in more than 340 cities worldwide. The special feature of the Fête de la Musique is that neither a person nor an institution is planning this colorful event. Anybody who would like can participate and make a musical contribution. Throughout the city, people meet to play music together, dance and of course party – simply join the fun.
