Festival of Lights 2024 - Berlin illuminates
The Festival of Lights Berlin is now world famous and always attracts more foreign visitors to the city. Since it was held for the first time in 2005, it has become an established festival in the annual calendar of events. Many famous buildings and places display lavish and colourful light decoration, but yet stylish. Also great images are projected onto house walls.
The extraordinary spectacle of light in the metropolis on the Spree has already become a permanent fixture. For ten days every year, Berlin offers the backdrop for imaginative productions. The great success of this unique event are the varied, colourful illustrations. More than 50 buildings are illuminated just after dawn.
The Festival of Lights in Berlin celebrates an anniversary
After eleven years of successful performance, Berlin expects a true spectacle, which barely can be topped. Next to the well tried and tested Berlin landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Cathedral and the Charlottenburg Palace, this year, many more attractions, places and entire streets will show off their elaborate light decorations.
An evening sightseeing of a special kind
From 04.-13.10.2024 not only professional photographer will use their tripods to capture the light spectacle. The event attracts countless visitors from all over the world, which have published countless photos and films of recent years on the Internet. Many of the illuminating venues are within walking distance. Some venues are spread throughout Berlin, to which you easily can use public transport. There are also various tours offered, where you can experience for example, the spectacle from the water.

Although Germany's capital has countless hotels, but the best hotels are filled up very quickly during the Festival of Lights. To avoid unnecessary journeys, a hotel in the city is required.
